Did Malaysia parliament condemn Jakarta anti-Chinese riot in 1998?

Only 9 persons were killed by Israeli commandos compared to more than 3000 Chinese were killed and raped by Indon mobs instigated by Suharto’s son-in-law, Prabowo Subianto.

Why our parliament only condemned this small scale massacre?

The reason is only Muslims are victim this round.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak tabled a special motion in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday to condemn the attack by Israel on the Freedom Flotilla vessel Mavi Marmara, which was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The motion also states that the attack on May 31 in international waters was in violation of international laws, including human rights laws, international humanitarian laws and the Charter of the United Nations.

It said similar sentiments were voiced through the Joint Cooperation Council (GCC) in Singapore on June 1.

The motion, seconded by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, states that Malaysians were deeply dismayed with the inability of the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council to strongly protest the violent acts of the Zionist regime.

The motion has a total of 15 resolutions, including demanding the United Nations Security Council to censure Israel and for the council to refer Israel to the International Criminal Court (ICC) .

The other resolutions include: – To urge countries to propose a motion to the United Nations General Assembly to seek an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice,

– Request Turkey to consider initiating action under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and call for an independent investigation to be conducted on the attack,

– Demanding Israel not to block any humanitarian aid convoy to the Palestinian people in Gaza, and

– Appeal to the international community to continue extending humanitarian aid to the people in the Palestinian Territories in Gaza without being intimidated and undaunted by Israeli threats.

It also seeks the approval of the Dewan Rakyat to cooperate with the member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the Arab League and other like-minded countries to uphold the principles of international law in dealing with the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
