Malaysians subsidize Proton cars in overseas market is not a news

Malaysians have subsidized Proton cars buyers in the overseas market from day one. I saw it in Sri Lanka.

Another price surprise for Proton cars in Saudi Arabia arrived at my mailbox today.

In Saudi Arabia,

Persona = SR 36,100 = RM 33,934
Gen2 = SR 33,600 = RM 32,256
Waja = SR 37,950 = RM 35,673

1 Saudi Riyal = RM 0.94

In layman term, we 1 Malaysians pay RM 66,799.97 for Waja in Bolehland.

Malaysians are ripped off RM31,126.97 by Proton.

Proton is offering a lifetime warranty on power windows for domestic users in a bid to erase lingering doubts about the build quality of its cars. The warranty period covers the first 10 years of vehicle age or 250,000km from the registration date, whichever comes first.

Too late as the majority of Proton customers have chosen no to be a repeat buyers.
