My writings on the wall for GE13

I see three main reasons BN will win in the next GE13, regains the 2/3 majorities is also possible.

1. Dirty electoral roll which favored BN.

PR may need 5% redundancy or extra votes to offset phantom votes, multiple votes, army and police postal votes, alien votes, etc.

2. Gerrymandering by the Election Commission

PR may need another 10% or even more redundancy to offset imbalanced constituent size in the rural and urban. Bumi voters carry more weights where UMNO is still in upper hand in the rural and suburban constituencies.

In laymen term, UMNO will get more seats from a same number of voters than DAP or PKR gets in the urban constituencies.

3. PR own making

PR own infighting, Trojan horses, weak performance, broken promises and big head syndrome. I do not simply say this, I have archived PR mistakes and white elephant projects in the blog.

Hudud laws become a hot potato because PAS senses its will lose Kelantan if PAS is keeping silence on Islamic state. Nik Aziz is desperate to regain supports from the Malay conservatives.

DAP is in deep dilemma now, staying with PR may repeat its defeat in the past, but leaving PR will ruin the opportunity to dislodge BN from Putrajaya.

Deny BN for 2/3 majorities is already a great achievement under the lop-sided electoral system.

Please come to spit on my face if my prediction is proven wrong and PR wins in the next GE. Anyway, I am more happy to be spitted rather than seeing BN wins again.

DAP Can Leave Pakatan, I Am Firm About Implementing Hudud Laws, Says Nik Aziz

KOTA BAHARU, Sept 22 (Bernama) — Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat said today it did not matter to him if the DAP wanted to quit the Pakatan coalition if PAS were to go ahead with its plans to implement hudud laws and turn Malaysia into a fully Islamic state, should it come into power.

“I am firm about this, implementing hudud laws has been talked about for some 50 years and is not something new. There has been endless dialogues on it.

“DAP had previously pulled out from the opposition pact Angakatan Perpaduan Ummah (APU) because of this (implementing hudud laws). If now they want to do the same (pull out from the Pakatan coalition because of hudud laws, that is their problem,” he told reporters after attending a civic function at Pusat Tarbiyah Islamiah Kelantan (Putik) here Thursday.

Nik Aziz was commenting on the statement by DAP chairman Karpal Singh yesterday that the DAP rejected hudud laws and turning Malaysia into a fully Islamic state because this was against the Federal constitution.

The Pakatan coalition is made up of the DAP, PKR and PAS.

Under hudud laws, thieves hands are chopped off, adulterers will be stoned to death and murderers executed.

Anti-corruption officers extorted RM1 million from money changers. Policeman sentenced to five years’ jail for shooting 14-year-old boy in the back. The Attorney-General accused of a string of serious and damning offences, including fabricating evidence.

The problem with this country is precisely like cancer. It is now stage 4 – the end stage. Not only is the problem widespread, it has also taken on a complete structure and form of its own. In other words, the problem has been absorbed into the umno institution and turned into a culture. This is in fact a typical progression of greed and corruption as may be seen in all banana republics.

But here in jibbyland, umno has taken the rot-progression to another new low. Umno moved the problem beyond culture. Here greed and corruption is being openly claimed as a constitutional right. Perhaps more remarkable than this claim is the assertion that the contitutional right of umnoputras to plunder and steal is an unquestionable right. All attempts at questioning the right would be visited with the consequence of detention without trial based on the justification that they are either anti-islam jenis umno, anti-agung, anti-umnoputras, a show of ungratefulness, an act of terrorism and communism etc etc.

Politically speaking, I think, that means umno has both its feet in the grave.
