Another BS from Najib...Chinese are paying double taxation for Chinese schools

Bus used by PM Najib is a deluxe type

Assistance to 50% government-funded Chinese schools only come before election to solicit Chinese votes.

MOE development budget allocated for Chinese and Tamil schools is 5%, and Chinese community has to raise fund all year round for schools just to maintain its buildings, computer labs, etc.

With more bumi students enroll into Chinese schools, Chinese have to subsidize more bumi besides the NEP.

Now BN ever ask Chinese schools to receive funding from 4D gambling business and indirectly to encourage Chinese to be habitual gamblers.

Melaka CM, Mohd. Ali will be delighted to call gambling is a Chinese culture because our Chinese schools are now funded by the gambling sin tax.

What is the next innovative policy to help Chinese schools?

Encourage more Chinese men to prostitute in the hanky-panky massage centers for more entertainment tax to support Chinese schools?

GEORGE TOWN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has expressed pride in the role and contribution of the Chinese community towards the betterment of education in the country.

Najib said the government recognised and commended the community’s commitment to education, and it was for this reason it had supported and given assistance to Chinese schools all this while.

He said the government would continue to focus on education as it strived to develop the country further.

He said the future of the country depended on all Malaysians, especially the younger generation, and it could be achieved only through education.

“I share your hopes, dreams and aspirations for our children.

“We must rise above the political fray and work together for the country.

“I want everyone to feel that we are together because only then can we overcome all obstacles.

“Regardless of our political differences, we can work together for the future of our children.”

Najib said he had taken bold steps to allay the fears of the Chinese when he was education minister by removing the power of the minister to convert national-type schools into national schools.

He said the move was taken in line with the concept and spirit of being fair to all Malaysians, especially where education was concerned.

“One of the most positive outcome of this change was that it helped widen diversity in our school system.

“Chinese national-type schools now have almost 56,000 Bumiputera students out of 612,000 students.”

Najib said yesterday, more Malays spoke Mandarin than ever before and this was part of the transformation Malaysia needed to help give it a business edge in years to come.

Citing his own son as an example, Najib said he had sent him to Beijing to learn Mandarin for a month and was now studying the language at Georgetown University in the United States.

Najib said his late father and second prime minister, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, had taken steps to build good relations with China and he was continuing the effort.

The prime minister had earlier joined 3,000 cyclists to take part in the 1Malaysia Charity Ride For Education held at the Straits Quay here yesterday.

The 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB)-sponsored event was organised by the Kwong Wah Yit Poh Chinese daily to raise funds for building repairs, infrastructure upgrades and support for academic activities at Chinese schools in the state.

Besides sponsoring the cost of organising the event, the foundation also contributed 5,000 bicycles to schoolchildren who participated in the event.
