Bank Negara profiteering from new banknotes

I bought a new banknote premium set for RM 300. Only 1 and 5 ringgit notes are usable, others are destroyed for being used as legal banknotes.

A collection of two banknotes (RM1 and RM5 denomination) – 500,000 sets priced at RM15.00 each.

A collection of a single banknote (RM20 denomination) – 500,000 sets priced at RM30.00 each.

A collection of six banknotes (RM1, RM5, RM10, RM20, RM50 and RM100 denominations) – 50,000 sets priced at RM300.00 each. For each set of this collection, all the banknote denominations will carry the same serial number.

I assume the design, printing and other misc costs at most are RM50 per set, therefore RM250 net profit for a premium set.

BN is selling 50,000 premium sets to public members, the profit for premium set alone is RM 12.5 million.

By assuming RM1 and RM5 notes are usable in the market, the profit reaps by BNM can be as high as RM 5.0 million after deducting RM 0.5 million cost.

While for RM20 note, the gross profit reaps can soaring to RM 15 million because the notes is unusable waste paper for collection only. The net profit is estimated at RM 14.5 million after minus the cost.

This new banknotes sales can make Malaysian government richer by about 30 million instantly.

That is why everyone wants to form Malaysian government.

don’t be a sucker follow the herds rushing for this notes.

like stamps, there are some which are useless papers.

for banknotes, go for serial numbers.

chinese worldwide crazy about auspicious numbers like those ending with 168 etc.

looks like barang naik regimes has got more campaign funds to pay for ketua bahagian eg astro decoders for rural kampung folks in East Malaysia or repairing longkang at Muar.

Rushing? I see no one rushing in KL unlike JB and Penang folks who queue up at 4am.

Anyway, the new banknotes are beautiful for collection.
