Well done, Perlis MCA for rejecting songkok

At least Perlis MCA has more principle than DAP Kedah, Penang and Selangor who vowed no songkok before they formed the government.

DAP politicians sworn they never wear songkok when they were still in the opposition in above mentioned states. Go read old Chinese newspapers if you forgot what DAP had said on songkok issue.

DAP exco and adun members all wearing songkok after 308 was telling a truth that DAP politicians got zero principle. Talk is cheap for DAP.

DAP should apologize to Chinese community for flip-flopping its long fought original doctrine.

I and several coursemates boycotted our graduation convocation for refusing to wear songkok because we believed in DAP’s no-songkok holy campaign.

Do you think I still believe any bullshit from DAP again after this incident?

The songkok was replaced with normal graduation rectangular several years later because of our boycott and sacrifice.

Dragon Lord says:

CSL should stop all sorts of archaic warning to the Chinese community. Liow making blunders over Bersih and Foodstuff in KR1M is also damaging. There was a lot of enthusiasm during the 1980s when several good strategists were roped into the think tanks. What has happened to the younger generation? Why are they not interested to help MCA in planning new strategies. The warlords and godfathers are still calling the shots on who should come in???

So what with representation in the government for over 50 years? These representatives only enriched themselves and cronies, families…and corruption has gone beyond salvage level.

With MCA & Gerakan representation – for over 4 generation of leaders, the children of Chinese language primary schools are still as deprived as ever! Parents and society are still the main source of funding these schools and temp teachers!

It’s a pity that CSL continues to propagate the divide-and-rule mentality. As a Chinese, I have no problem with any Malaysian, regardless of ethnicity, being my representative in the government, so long as they are truly looking out for the interests of the public. It is therefore untrue that Chinese voters would be left without representation in the government if it only supported opposition parties. All we get from MCA is playing 2nd fiddle to your UMNO master all these years. What Chinese representation are you talking about just look at the current representation in all the Government services and the unimportant posts that are given to non Umno partners in BN. Make no different to Chinese voters whether MCA is represented or not.

nkkhoo says:

DAP should thank MCA for getting 70% support from Chinese. Why you complain on that?

What policies DAP were implemented to benefit Chinese?

Did DAP protest when a Chinese was rejected from holding GM post in PKNS?
