Those got summons from AES may vote PR

I support AES, but not to outsourcing the service to UMNO cronies and RM300 fine for each summons.

As a matter of fact, RM300 for each over speeding summons is not cheap compared with RM 2000 per month GDP per capita in Malaysia.

If BN government can outsource JPJ and police enforcement power to private companies, our king can outsource the Cabinet to foreigners as well.

BN government is issuing more summonses with AES to collect more money from rakyat without the intention to address high traffic accidents on the roads.

What if the accident rate is not decreasing in next year and the following years?

Does BN government is going to refund AES summonses already paid by the traffic offenders under the full governance accountability principle?

I suggest a new proposal with the aim of educating our drivers with a soft stick approach. The summons for first offend should be capped at RM100, second offend at RM200 and RM300 for third and more offends. A 50% discount is given only to those offenders who choose to attend 2-hour short course on road safety organized by JPJ.

Any right-minded and responsible government will cancel the privatized AES and call for more feedback from the rakyat on how to re-implement Automated Enforcement System in more effective and just manner.

BN government is picking fight with 10 million++ vehicle owners with its scandal tainted AES and BN may pay for the ultimate price from its outsourced AES summonses.

Speed trap cameras and AES to be used in tandem

KUALA LUMPUR: The police mobile speed trap cameras will be used in tandem with the proposed enforcement of the controversial (AES), said Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop.

“As accidents are prevalent, all relevant agencies must be involved in monitoring traffic and carry out their duties to solve the problem,” he said when replying to a supplementary question by Mohd Firdaus Jaafar (PAS-Jerai).

He also revealed that the police had issued 180,062 postal notices to errant road users during Ops Selamat, conducted during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.

“The notice was issued to determine the identity and address of the road users,” he said, adding that the police had also issued 61,191 summonses during the period.

On another matter, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the headline of a report “Lim: Respect the law and pay AES summonses” was inaccurate and misleading.

He said he had stressed at the press conference that he was against the implementation of the AES and did “not at any time say that people should pay the summons”.

Lim had commented on the call by PAS vice-president Mahfuz Omar for the public to ignore the AES summons because it was unjust.

“While I expressed sympathy with Mahfuz’s call, I stopped short of supporting the move because as a government leader, I cannot be asking people to flout the law by tearing up their traffic summonses,” said Lim in a statement yesterday.

facts and figures of the company needs to be provided before a passing remark on cronyism is passed

nkkhoo says:

PKR has provided the company details from SSM database.

No open tender for AES is the mother of crony.

What else do you want? Porno video evidence from the company shareholders?

Beta Tegap is Umno-linked but the contract is arranged via MCA.
Why Transport Ministry cannot engage the company’s international technical partner directly instead, have to go through the Beta Tegap company? Whichever company providing the system can be engage directly and why have to add another layer?

Is there any independent report supporting Beta Tegap to be the qualified and best cost effective sub-contractor?

RM16 for each AES summon goes to Beta Tegap is a sure-win business plan for Umno.

Transport ministry headed by MCA guy is coming up with another Ling’s blackbox?

why government cannot handle this project but must outsource to third party that is likely to be cronies is the key issue that nkkhoo must address.

Everyone knows it is a crony project. PR has to address, not me because I am not contesting in GE13.
