Malaysia Boleh :: MACC senior official stole buffalos

This photo was taken in Indian where a police officer shot dead a mad buffalo.

I can’t believe these people with job being buffalo thieves. The firearm weapons possess by them can put them on the gallows if no selective prosecution as usual.

Only a word to describe them, damn stupid.

UNEXPECTED: Police seize double-barrel shotgun, other weapons and ammo from suspects

HULU SELANGOR: POLICE arrested a senior Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officer and three other men for shooting and stealing a buffalo in Bukit Sentosa here on Friday evening.

Following the incident, reported by the owner of the buffalo to have happened at 11.30pm at an oil palm plantation there, police seized a double-barrelled shotgun, an air rifle modified to fire live ammunition and another air rifle from the suspects.

A police source said the 41-year-old owner went to the location to check on his buffaloes when he saw two men burning something at the side of a river there.

When he approached the suspects, he saw a pool of blood and buffalo stool. The men told him they had just shot a buffalo.

“The owner then called his brother for help and notified police about the incident. A team of officers sent to the location then arrested the suspects and seized the weapons and over 250 bullets from them, besides a parang.

“Police also seized a Tanfoglio 9mm pistol from the MACC officer, a magazine containing 10 bullets, and 30 other pistol bullets in a box.”

The source added that police found a pistol licence booklet from the MACC officer.

Initial investigations revealed that the 36-year-old suspect, ranked assistant commissioner, is attached to the commission’s disciplinary unit in their headquarters in Putrajaya.

Three other suspects were aged between 16 and 32. One of them works in a furniture shop in Puchong, while two others are mechanics.

The source said the suspects, after being questioned, revealed that they went into the plantation on Thursday and camped there.

They told police that the MACC officer had then left his accomplices with the weapons, to go to work.

After hours of hunting, one of the suspects managed to shoot two buffaloes about 4pm on Friday. However, only one of them died.

The group then started to butcher the buffalo, with the MACC officer joining later when he returned to the location about 9pm.

“The buffalo owner recognised his livestock from its horns. Besides he was the only one rearing buffaloes in the area.”

The source said police seized the buffalo meat and sent it to the Veterinary Department.

It was learnt that the suspects intended to use the meat during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
