RM1200 for anyone to slap Ahmad Zahid since slap is not a threat

KAJANG: Putting up a bounty to slap Seputeh MP Teresa Kok is not a threat and there is no need for a police investigation into it, says the Home Minister.

“Why should we investigate? If she has been slapped, then we can take action,” said Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

“Slapping is not a threat. If they said ‘kill her’, then it would be a threat. The slap thing is between her and them (the NGOs who offered the reward),” he said.

Ahmad Zahid said the clip, apparently seditious, had been sent to the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for further investigation.

Speaking to reporters after a visit to the Kajang Prison, here, Ahmad Zahid said he had seen the video and reserved his opinion on whether the actions against her were justified.

“They are being investigated, so we should leave it to the investigation. On the other hand, we have received over 300 police reports against Kok and are working with MCMC on the case,” he added.
