Police pratises double standard again?

I have no objection on any peaceful demonstration, but did they apply for police permit?

Ibrahim Ali is number two Malay ultra after Najib.

He shall call another demo to protest Lee Kuan Yew’s visit to Kelantan afterall Lee took away a portion of Tanah Melayu while Chin Peng did not.

2,000 demonstrate against Chin Peng’s return

KOTA BARU Two thousand members of the Kelantan People’s Action Council (MTRK) and People’s Champion and Service Centre (PKMR)held a peaceful demonstration Saturday to oppose the suggestion to allow former Malayan Communist Party (MCP) secretary-general Chin Peng to return to the country.

The hour-long demonstation in front of the Grand Riverview Hotel was led by MTRK president and Pasir Mas MP Datuk Ibrahim Ali.

He told reporters that he supported the government’s decision not to allow Chin to return home because he was regarded as a murderer and a traitor.

Penang Gerakan chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan had called on the government to allow Chin Peng to return on humanitarian grounds because the former communist leader was no longer a threat to national security. – Bernama

Major (Rtd) D Swami, no way Malaysia can defeat the communists

LTTE was defeated because Indian government totally washed their hands off after Rajiv Ghandi was murdered by LTTE.

Thailand government was (is) closing one eye to let CPM freely roaming in their backyard for decades. This is reciprocal reaction to Malaysia supporting Pattani Malay rebels. Besides, CPM is still receiving financial and weapon supports from China government.

Major D Swanmi, Mahathir is not stupid as you. Without the peace agreement, the risk of doing business in Malaysia is too high for foreign investors.

We never ‘defeated’ the communists

Major (Rtd) D Swami | Jun 3, 09 4:47pm

I refer to the Malaysiakini report Create a ‘heroes and traitors’ museum.

Omar Mohd Hashim of the Malaysian History Association (PSM) is living in his own deluded world. Yes, as a former soldier from a very well-blooded regiment, I too stand with other soldiers in not allowing Chin Peng to settle in Malaysia.

I, too, have friends who were maimed and killed during the insurgency. I say Osman Mohd Hashim is deluded is because he says, ‘This was the first time that an independent country had managed to defeat the communists’.

Well, we did not defeat the communists if one were to read and understand the peace treaty. The treaty is titled ‘Agreement Between The Government Of Malaysia And The Communist Party Of Malaya To Terminate Hostilities’ which is a historic document.

The operative word here is ‘Cessation of Hostilities’. I cannot and did not see the word surrender in the document. We did not defeat them, we could have decimated them to the last man, if not for the capitulation of Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

It states in Para 3.2 that ‘Members of the Communist Party of Malaya and members of its disbanded armed units, who are not of Malaysian origin, may be allowed to settle down in Malaysia in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, if they so desire’.

It is an international treaty. Our so-called Great Leader, Mahathir had this treaty negotiated without a referendum from the Malaysian people. But then he was a dictator, surrounded by sycophants and apple-polishers.

On the Jan 6, 1956 on a mountain top in Malaya, Tunku abdul Rahman, John Davis, a senior district officer in the government of Malaya, Singapore’s Chief Minister David Marshall and Sir Cheng-Lock Tan, president of the Malayan Chinese Association, met Chin Peng.

The Tunku asked this of Chin Peng, that the Communists would only be allowed to return, if they surrendered, disbanded their armed forces, and abolished the Communist Party.

After their surrender they would each be subjected to a loyalty investigation and would be restricted to a specific area of the country, but once investigated, most would be allowed to enter political life again so long as they did not pursue a communist line. Said Chin Peng: ‘I and my people will never submit to investigation’.

Singapore’s David Marshall responded by saying this: ‘As a human being, I ask you to realise that there are seven million people people in Malaya and 3,000 communists. I appeal to you to think of their welfare and to accept the sacrifice of your pride in the mild humiliation which you state is implied in the investigation of the loyalty of MCP members before their release.’

Chin Peng responded: ‘To report to the police means surrender’.

Snapped the Tengku: ‘I will never give in, so you must give in.’

Replied Chin Peng: ‘The amnesty means surrender. Surrender means humiliation. We will not accept surrender at any time. We will carry on the struggle to the last man.’

The Tunku was a warrior at heart and not a quitter. The communists did not surrender, period. We could have defeated them but then the Chief of Armed Forces, General Hashim Ali was the brother-in-law of our ‘Great Leader’. The IGP was Mohd Haniff Omar. Can I say, I blame him for capitulating to this dastardly parchment?

The army which bore the brunt of the fighting was one of the most experienced counter- insurgency fighting forces in jungle warfare, and I may be so bold as to add, in the world.

We could have totally defeated them in the same way the Sri Lankans did to Vellupillai Prabhakaran. We would not be spending our time and energy discussing Chin Peng’s return today, nor would our ‘Great Leader’ have embarked on a policy of marginalising certain segments of the Malaysian population.

He capitualted for expediency. So who did actually surrender? Mahathir went against everything the Tunku wanted as far as the CPM was concerned.

In his reasoning he fails to discuss the double standards. See images of our enemies with Malaysian VIPs. See more double standards here where an enemy of ours, Shamsieh Fakeh and her family applied to the Malaysian government for permission to return to the country from 1985 onwards.

People like Omar Mohd Hashim of the Malaysian History Association (PSM), should just keep quiet. I know there are many like him who push forth their own agenda and who ignominiously have no problems with double standards.

The message to him should be to stop insulting the intelligence of the soldiers and civillians alike.

How could Chen Peng attended interview IF he was denied to enter Malaysia in the first place?

Where is the interview took place?

IF the interview was conducted in KL, then I have a perplexed question to UMNO Nazi government, how could Chen Peng attended interview IF he was denied to enter Malaysia?

Whether he is a hero or not, this is nothing to do Hatyai Peace Accord. Right thinking Malaysias want to know why an agreement signed by Dr. Mahathir cannot be materialized?

The true history not found in your textbook

Without Chen Peng and his armed gang, I doubt Malay ultras would budge in an inch to grant citizenship to my grandfather and father. Ironic then, my father was a home guard to fight the communists. I wonder my father realized or not without the flexing of muscle by Chen Peng, he was most likely sent back to Mainland China by the British Colonial Government.

British (Malay ultras too) by then should realize chasing away several millions Chinese from Malaya is impossible task. British had to employ 50,000 soldiers to crush 8,000 armed communists, imagine the implication IF another 100,000 or 500,000 evicted Chinese youth decided to join communist for armed struggle.

Malay ultras agent like Awang Selamat claimed granting citizenship to “pendatang” is a sacrifice made by Malays. That is only a half-true fact, the deal is best political solution at that point of time for demanding independence from the British. In another word, Chinese (Indians by chance took the same bandwagon with Chinese!) were given citizenships is not simply due to good Samaritans of Malays as some like to believe.

Malay ultras cannot swallow this historical fact until today. Malay ultras under Razak succeeded to launch a military coup in 1969 to totally change the political landscape in Malaysia. Malay ultras then imported millions of new pendatang from Java and Sumatra to reduce the percentage of Chinese from 35% in 1970 to 25% in 2009. With this continuing trend, Chinese population is merely 5% by 2050 as predicted by Raja Petra.

The issue is UMNO Malay ultras do not anticipate moderate Malays themselves revolt and against their fascist policy in 2008.

Home Ministry Denies Govt Reneged On Peace Agreement With CPM

PUTRAJAYA, June 2 (Bernama) — The Home Ministry Tuesday refuted claims by some quarters that the government had reneged on its peace agreement with the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) signed on Dec 2, 1989.

Its deputy minister Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop said 442 ex-CPM members applied to return to Malaysia, but only 406 attended the interviews and fulfilled the conditions to be allowed to return.

“Chin Peng or his real name, Ong Boon Hwa, had submitted his application a day before the application period closed, but he did not attend the interview fixed for Oct 31, 1992.

“After that he never submitted a new application, instead used the court to determine the status of his citizenship. His action clearly showed that he failed to abide by the conditions stipulated in the peace agreement and did not obey the laws of the country as required,” he told a news conference, here, today.

According to the records, in his bid to return to Malaysia, Chin Peng had filed to the court five affidavits between March 4 and April 4, 2005.

Abu Seman said in the case of Chin Peng, the Home Ministry had remained firm and would not compromise as he was not a hero who should be honoured.

Earlier, Abu Seman had chaired the meeting of the main committee for the awareness campaign against ah long or loan sharks.

He said a working committee was set up under this main committee to ensure continuity of the campaign and enforcement of the law against loan sharks.

Abu Seman said in the effort to stamp out ah long activities, the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001 was used, which provided for a a heavy fine of up to RM5 million or jail term of up to five years, or both if convicted.

“Before this, those found guilty were sentenced under the Money Lenders Act 1951, which provides for a fine of not less than RM20,000 and not more than RM100,000 or a jail term of not more than five years, or both.”

He said so far, five ah long cases were still under investigation, including the latest in which three men were heavily chained at their neck and legs to the walls of a room which was turned into a lock-up in a vacant shoplot by ah long after the three failed to pay their debts.

Yes, let arrest Dr. Mahathir with ISA for signing peace agreement with Chen Peng

I sympathize all ex-soldiers who lost their lives, limbs, etc. in the operations against communists, but this is risk they have to take as soldiers. There is risk free job called politician who can crying off from the office.

Many right thinking Malaysians against terrorism and communism, but we are asking BN government to honest a peace agreement signed with Chin Peng. “Janji itu kota”, otherwise Malaysia will be seemed as a pariah country for breaking agreement.

Malaysian government shall send Datuk Muhammad Haji Abdul Ghani, president of the Malaysian Veterans’ Association to MARA (or local version MIT) again for him to learn how to read and understand contents in the Hatyai peace agreemtment. He does not understand English does not mean other Malaysians are like him. The agreement says all Malaysia-based communists are free to come back and allowances are also given to them for dismantling booby traps and relocation.

Dr. Mahathir was the one signed the agreement and obviously he had betrayed ex-soldiers like Major Lee, Datuk Muhammad Haji Abdul Ghani, etc. I am fully support to arrest Dr. M with ISA.

“The communists under Chin Peng killed women and children, including some of my relatives and my friends. So many lives lost, I can never forgive him,” said 50-year-old major Lee Hock Sun, who battled communist holdouts in the 1980s.

With your major rank, I assume you are a short-term official. Let me do a mathematic calculation for you. You joined army after SPM/MCE at the age of 18, then 1 year military training and 7 years active service. You retired from the service at 26. Major Lee, you are 30 years old in 1989 and communist activities in 80s were almost dormant.

Please submit the name of your relatives, women and children killed by communists to Prof. Khoo Kay Kim for him to investigate your story. We are talking about history which need to be substantiated with fact. We do not need cheap and fancy story to instigate anti-communist and anti-Chinese sentiment.

From Sin Chew Jit Poh, Muhammad Haji Abdul Ghani said,

“陳平的罪是不能受到寬赦的,他的雙手沾滿血腥,他在513事件中也殺害許多無辜的孕婦,當中很多還是軍人的太太,她們都慘死在陳平的殘酷利刀下。

Translation, “The crime of Chen Peng is not pardonable, his both hands are fulled with blood in 513, he killed many innocent pregnant women including the wives of soldiers, they all being slaughtered with knife by Chen Peng.”.

Since 513 is mentioned and he wanted to open an old can with worms, I have no choice to ask Muhammad how communists hiding in Betong could appeared in KL city to slaughter innocent women?

- Do not tell me the wives of soldiers were posted in the jungle bordering Thailand.

- Do not tell me army camps in KL were raid by the communists.

I challenged him to substantiate above statement with fact because there is no such statement in the 513 incident whitebook published by Razak government.

I also want to ask Muhammad, why an entire Chinese village named Titiwangsa nearby the MINDEF army camp dissapeared from the map overnight? The answer is the entire village was wiped out by Malay soldiers. I do not mean all Malay soldiers during the 513 are evils, but 5 to 10% of them did go amok and commit genocide in KL. KL only restored to peace after Dayak soldiers from Sawarak were called in to maintain order.

Malaysia veterans angry over support for communist leader

Mon, Jun 01, 2009
AFP

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s veterans’ association Monday urged the government to arrest political leaders if they continue to demand the return of Chin Peng, the former communist leader of a violent insurgency.

Prime Minister Najib Razak last week ruled out allowing 85-year-old Chin Peng to come home after four decades in exile, saying it would anger those whose relatives were killed in the 1948-1960 “Malayan Emergency”.

Members of the ruling coalition have pushed for leniency for the former guerrilla fighter, who before the insurgency was honoured for helping the British fight the Japanese in Malaya during World War II.

“Chin Peng can never return to Malaysia and the security forces veterans are very unhappy with this attempt by groups to insist on this killer”s return to our country,” said Muhammad Haji Abdul Ghani, president of the Malaysian Veterans’ Association.

“Those political parties that support Chin Peng’s return, who are lobbying for it and demanding it, are clearly supportive of the Communist ideology as Chin Peng has never renounced Communism,” he said.

“The government must detain these people under the ISA (Internal Security Act) because their demands would affect the national security of our country,” he told a press conference.

The ISA allows for indefinite detention without trial. After the conclusion of World War II, Chin Peng led the China-backed Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) in a guerrilla campaign against the British colonial and Malaysian governments.

He left Malaysia shortly after the end of the bloody 12-year uprising and has been in exile since. He is currently living in Thailand.

The CPM signed a peace agreement with the Malaysian government in 1989 that allowed several other high-ranking communist leaders to return but Chin Peng was knocked back and lost his final legal appeal last month.

Teng Hock Nan, a senior leader in the Gerakan party which is a Chinese-based member of the ruling coalition, has appealed for the government to allow the ageing former fighter to return.

The Socialist Party of Malaysia has also called on the government to honour the peace agreement and allow Chin Peng’s homecoming.

However, veterans at the press conference expressed their disgust at the prospect of leniency.

“The communists under Chin Peng killed women and children, including some of my relatives and my friends. So many lives lost, I can never forgive him,” said 50-year-old major Lee Hock Sun, who battled communist holdouts in the 1980s. -AFP
