Malaysia is the most corrupt country except OPEC in the world

Set aside a few OPEC oil exporting countries in Middle East and other continents, Malaysia is the number one corrupt nation in the world, followed by Russia.

For the period between 2000 to 2009, the outflow illicit money excluding transfer pricing per capita is summarized here,

Malaysia illicit outflows Per capita: US$ 5320 [RM 16529]

Russia illicit outflows Per Capita: US$ 3232.8

Thailand illicit outflows Per Capita: US$ 1011

Mexico illicit outflows Per Capita: US$ 755

Indonesia illicit outflows Per capita: US$ 383

China illicit outflows Per capita: US$ 267

In term of $ per capita, Malaysia is about 20 times more corrupt than China and 16.5 times more corrupt than Indonesia

In term of absolute value, total illicit outflow black money during 2000-09 is RM 479.35 billion.

Malaysia government has to rely on borrowings to meet its deficit budgets. Malaysia government total debts as at 20 Jan 2012 is RM 440.846 billion.

The interesting fact about how huge is huge for RM 479.35 billion.

Malaysia does not need to borrow a single cent for annul budgets if the financial leakage is plugged.

OR

Every Malaysian can receive RM 1650 free handout every year from government if the financial leakage is plugged.

OR

Every household in Malaysia can receive 2X Proton Saga FLX if the financial leakage is plugged.

Stolen smart tag reader was settled with RM10,000

A kampong folk who used a stolen smart tag was nagged by a police team from Bukit Aman. RM10,000 was paid to settle the case. Local police requested special ang pau from the culprit for not sharing RM10,000 with Bukit Aman task force.

The lead to car jacking syndicate is disrupted after RM10,000 bribe to police.

This is another corruption case in the small fry level.

Ah long loan shark, drug trafficking, car jacking, etc. are flourishing because the police is corrupt to the core.

Indonesian illegal immigrants paid RM30 monthly protection money to police for them stay as long as they want in Bolehland.

MCA is collaborating with Chinese underground societies in new villages to influence Chinese voters. Free ang pau and CNY parties to bait support from kampong folks.

Corruption in Malaysia is reaching terminally ill stage.

Just for the sake of condemn NST

These so-called “smugglers” are in fact taking a big risk of breaking the law to facilitate the exchange. Rather than being condemned, they should be congratulated for helping lower the cost of living for those residing at the border.

Another empty talk from the academia. Lim is taking every opportunity to attack NST after his removal from a lucrative job in the government think tank.

The hard fact is the border smuggling benefits more to big syndicates who are residing in the big cities like Kuala Lumpur. I know a kampong folk is super rich from his rice smuggling syndicate.

The losses of tax in border smuggling will be compensated by higher tax collection in other sectors like car. May be those people in the border are still using bicycle to support Lim’s lower the cost of living theory.

Another take on border smuggling
Lim Teck Ghee

These so-called ‘smugglers’ should be congratulated for helping lower the cost of living for those residing at the border.

Recently the New Straits Times ran a front-page article on brazen smuggling at our borders with Thailand and Indonesia.

In its report, an NST team which joined several Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) covert surveillance operations found that agencies tasked with foiling smuggling attempts were closing an eye to the movement of price-controlled goods by foreigners and Malaysians. Former Tourism Minister, Azalina Othman Said is alleged involved in corruption

Malaysia needs more whistle blowers to expose corruption and wrong practices in both BN and PR governments. If whistleblower711 can do the same against PR will add more weights on his neutral claim.

Only insiders can have such detailed information, and they can put a stop on this illegal and immoral practices for the sake of this country.

Anyway, be neutral or not in politics is not important in busting corruption because corruption is the public enemy.

I did make a mistake for bribing a traffic police in Penang ten years (more) ago. He offered RM30 to settle my red light traffic offense which I accepted reluctantly to save RM120 penalty. This is only black spot in my life, and vow not to repeat it.

Now get down to business. Let’s divert the attention to another member of parliament. This member of parliament also received monies from Dato’ Yahya Abd Jalil companies (AMPMSB). The mode of the transaction is pretty straight forward. Perhaps it is meant for social programs in the Member of Parliament constituency. Who knows for sure except for the giver and the receiver. The Member of Parliament meant here was the former Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia from March 2004 until March 2008 and also the former Minister of Tourism Malaysia from March 2008 until April 2009. The Member of Parliament is none other than YB Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said, Member Of Parliament Pengerang, Johor. She has received “contributions” of RM 300,000.00 on 07/04/2011 thru a cheque number 872045 (here) belonging to AMPMSB. As I said, the true nature of the “contribution” is only known to the giver and the receiver. Perhaps it is best to let Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman make a statement just like her counterpart has. Perhaps SPRM also can have a closer look at this.

Bolehland is so rich to sell subsidized electricity to Singapore

BN government is asking Petronas to subsidize TNB and IPPs with more than RM10 billion in natural gas each year, and now we are so nice until willing to see subsidized electricity to first world Singapore whom GDP is 40,000 USD (compared 7,000 USD in Bolehland).

Can someone tells me how much kickback paid by Lee Hsien Loong to Najib for another Malaysia sell-off scandal?

This is another case of a poor man subsidizing a rich man.

Malaysia offers to sell electricity to Singapore

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia has offered to sell electricity to Singapore as the neighbouring countries explore new areas of opportunities for future collaborations.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said he made the proposal to his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong during the Malaysia-Singapore Leaders’ Retreat here today.

Describing the meeting as “very productive and fruitful”, Najib said both countries agreed that they should look at additional pathways to enhance bilateral ties.

“On Malaysia’s side, I proposed to Prime Minister Lee on the possibility of Malaysia selling electricity to Singapore, which he warmly welcomed,” he told a joint media conference after a bilateral meeting at his office here today.

Najib said the power supply would be private sector-driven.

Lee said Singapore was very open to the proposal if the terms were right, taking into account matters such as the project’s impact on the environment.

He said his government was preparing a proper framework on the matter.

“Once it’s ready, Malaysian contractors will be invited to participate and bid for the project,” he said.

During the two-hour meeting, Najib said he also proposed to Lee to strengthen aviation and airport collaborations between the Senai International Airport in Johor and Changi International Airport in Singapore.

Najib said Malaysia was also looking forward to expand and deepen bilateral ties with Singapore including in the areas of education, tourism, culture and sports.

Najib and Lee also agreed to cooperate in aligning the radio frequency spectrum plans in both countries for digital broadcast and mobile broadband services.

The alignment will allow both countries to meet growing demand for digital television and mobile broadband, improve regional mobile roaming and provide more competitive mobile broadband services.

They agreed to work towards greater harmonisation of the spectrum in the Asia-Pacific region for digital broadcast and mobile broadband services, according to a joint statement issued by the two countries. — BERNAMA
