NO to BN Reason 3 :: Privatization is morphed into piratization to steal and rob national wealth by UMNO, MCA, MIC and other cronies

Which privatization project on government-linked companies benefits the rakyat? The answer is none.

A few selected BN piratization projects ONLY,

- IPP power generation. Malaysia lost billions for generating excess electricity.

- One-sided contract for highway concessionaires with Malaysians are always the losers.

- PKFZ scandal. BN cronies, MCA and UMNO politicians had siphoned out at least RM5 billions.

- Malaysia Airlines RM8 buy-back from UMNO cronies when MAS share price is RM3.50 and the company was losing money. 800 million taxpayers’ money wasted!

- Rent-seeking tenders for KL MRT and KTM double track electrification incurred losses of billions on Malaysian taxpayers. Multiple total project cost with 30% is unnecessary top-up expenses paid by we rakyats.

There are more piratization BN projects!

Vital to tackle the root causes of corruption

RED tape is recognised as the main contributor to corruption in the public service. Beefing up enforcement and having awareness campaigns on corruption by MACC is only addressing the symptoms, not eliminating the root causes.

There are several approaches or tools that can be used to tackle the root causes of corruption. One of them is simplifying the administrative process with re-engineering techniques used by the business fraternity.

All non-value added or wasted steps should be eliminated after a thorough study by Pemuda (sic) [Correct: Pemudah] or other related departments. Shorter and efficient processes reduce the chance for bribery and corruption.

KPI is a follow-up or feedback loop to monitor the administrative processes after the process re-engineering or new process design is completed.

For example, a car manufacturer promises dubious “faster” delivery time for new car orders. This kind of “no KPI measurement” commitment is not good enough to achieve world-class performance in the company or in our nation.

I suggest a fixed maximum delivery days or hours based on a customer’s (read rakyat’s) demand.

For example, the delivery time for a business licence application has to be defined and its application automatically approved if the concerned department cannot approve the application on time. They also have to explain to the customer if the application is rejected.

More simple, open, transparent and shorter administrative processes coupled with effective KPIs will reduce corruption in any organisation.

Our Ministers need not high pay…why?

These ministers always get 5% kickback payment from the government contracts under their ministry.

So, why they need high pay as Singaporean ministers. Our Bolehland ministers can make at least 50 times more income than kiasu ministers easily.

Nazri: Reports On MACC Pay Rise Proposal “Not True”

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 (Bernama) — Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz has refuted a news report that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will propose to the government that the salaries of ministers, deputy ministers and elected representatives be increased.

He said that a MACC officer had contacted him this morning over the report which appeared on the front page of an English language daily.

Residents in tears as ethnic Malaysian village demolished

Residents of an Indian enclave in Malaysia’s northern Penang state on Monday lost their battle to save their village after scores of demolition workers tore down their homes.

The villagers of Kampung Buah Pala could only watch in tears as the workers hired by a development company demolished their part-wooden homes with sledgehammers and bulldozers.

There were some tense moments when a woman whose house was about to be torn down poured kerosene on her head and threatened to burn herself. Her son managed to restrain his 60-year-old mother as she reached for a matchbox.

A heavy police presence in the village ensured that the demolition went ahead without any direct resistance.

The century-old Kampung Buah Pala lies in the heart of a rapidly growing area on the eastern part of George Town that was never owned by its residents, who are mainly cow herders of Indian descent.

Instead, the land was owned by the Penang state government and was sold to a state co-operative that joined private developer Nusmetro Ventures in a 57-million-dollar project to build condominiums.

Nusmetro Ventures’ offers of alternate housing and compensation were accepted by only some residents, while others fought legal battles against the developer and accused politicians of selling them out.

According to local media, Kampung Buah Pala’s last remaining 23 families had to vacate the 2.6 hectares of prime land by Wednesday after the Federal Court last month rejected an appeal against their eviction.

Long-time resident A Draviam, 84, was reduced to tears when workers started using sledgehammers to tear down his house.

“I never thought that I would live to see such a tragic day. I was the village head here once… my children were born here,” he said.

“Now, I have to live and see the day everything that we built being smashed to the ground.”

At the end of the day, 13 houses were torn down while another four residents promised to demolish their own homes within the week. Workers had previously demolished three houses.

Earlier this month some 50 residents, activists and politicians formed a human barricade in an attempt to stop the demolition, triggering the arrest of 18 people including the residents’ lawyer.

Kampung Buah Pala is the oldest Indian enclave in Penang and residents say the village’s destruction means a unique culture will be lost forever.

Ethnic Indians make up less than 10 percent of the population of multicultural Malaysia, which is dominated by Muslim Malays.

Anwar says Malaysia lost RM 10 billion each year due to the rampant corruption in BN government

He quoted the source from Morgan Stanley.

Literally, every Malaysian has to pay RM 385 to BN corrupt gang. My family alone has to pay RM 3462 for the cost of corruption.
