Local Issue >>> Local Issue >>> ![]() Johor Ancient Temple's original gate I was at the site at about 9-10AM after the temple front wall and its gates were demolished in the wee hours by JB council workers because I used the Trus road to JB old bus station during my year-end balik kampung trip from Singapore. A file of bricks and wooden materials still there when I was passing the temple. A policeman asked me to leave the site and no photo taking was allowed. The area was sealed off by FRU.
From the news reported next day, a worker (believe to be a Chinese) in the new hotel construction site beside the temple was beaten up by FRU for throwing bricks toward destruction site. As a historic witness, I can swear or cut the white chicken head in any Chinese temple with Chua to prove who is liar. 蔡细历:当年不是被拆 古庙山门是往后移 http://www.kwongwah.com.my/news/2012/02/14/18.html Muar & Tangkak >>> The park is renamed foreign worker park by local folks after many foreign workers congregating in the park during the weekends and public holidays. All basic facilities in the park like street lamps and fountain are either broken or missing. The place is also thick with urine smell, and rubbish and bird droppings are common sights.

More narrow drain, its water current is more stronger according to fluid dynamics. I did crossing about 10-feet wide drain during the flooding in a palm oil plantation during my military training. You will be washed away if your both hands not holding tight a big rope, I felt the current flow is like two or three adults pulling my body. A row of water bubbles on both palms after crossing the narrow drain. Jumping into the drain with raging flood waters is like commit suicide. I will not jump into such drain to save someone. Most I can do is finding a stick or rope for the victim to hold on it. This is the best effort you can do under such circumstances.
Muar & Tangkak >>> The soils under a section of walkway were washed away by waves since two years ago. BN government has money to loan out to NFC for cow bungalow investment, but no money to repair collapsed walkway. DAP Bakri MP has to volunteer himself to put up zink barrier which was blown off yesterday because Muar city council’s workers all in holiday.
