Many people including me thought Islam is an official religion since independence. Thus you can see UMNO propaganda in the main stream media is so powerful until people like me with a critical mind also being fooled and misled for a long time. What do you expect Malay kampong folks not brainwashed by UMNO?

I have no bad feeling against Islam, except the UMNO-way of imposing Islamic values in non-Muslims is truly make me sick.
I worked in Indonesia for several years, and feel Indonesian government is liberal and fair in religion policies for its people. Although Indonesian Muslims are free to convert to other religion, the statistics says the percentage of Muslim population in Indonesia is never decreased over the years under such liberal policy.
Abdul Hadi’s statement on amending constitution mere political talk — Najib
GUA MUSANG: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has described the statement by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang that the opposition would amend the constitution from Islam the official religion to ‘Addin’ as mere political talk.
The prime minister said Abdul Hadi’s plan to make Islam ‘Addin’ or way of life as way of life alone could not be legislated.
“(In the constitution) Islam is the religion of the federation. From there we can develop Islam via policies and institutions that we created so that Islam becomes ‘Addin’ or way of life.
“So there is no need to amend the constitution,” he told reporters after opening ‘Karnival Komuniti 1Malaysia Negeri Kelantan’ at Padang Pusat Sivik here yesterday.
Abdul Hadi said the opposition would amend the constitution from Islam as official religion to Islam as ‘Addin’ which covers the entire human life if elected the government in the general election.
He said the constitution adopted in this country did not use Islam as ‘Addin’ or way of life but was designed by non-Muslims with ideology and human theory unfair to Muslims.
Najib said Abdul Hadi’s statement was the latest in a line of policy changes made by PAS.
“First it was an Islamic state. On the insistence of DAP, it was changed to welfare state and then hudud law resurfaced.
“Now PAS wants to amend the constitution as ‘Addin’ which was opposed by DAP. The present constitution is already beautiful … it can’t be amended arbitrarily.”
Meanwhile, Najib expressed his happiness that the Dutch boy reported missing last week, believed to have been kidnapped, was found safe in Rawang Thursday.
The prime minister said before Nayati Shamelin Moodliar was released, he phoned the father to assure that the government would give full cooperation.
“I had assigned an officer in my office to mediate between the government, police and family. I am relieved and grateful that the boy is safe and back with his family,” he added.
Nayati, 12, was found safe at Sungai Buloh rest and recreation (R&R) area, North-South Expressway (NSE) at 7.55am by a member of the public who informed the police.
Nayati was reportedly abducted by two men near Mont’ Kiara International School while walking alone to school on Friday. — Bernama

Ananda Krishnan makes time for son

GEORGE TOWN: Billionaire T. Ananda Krishnan took time off from his busy schedule to meet up with his Buddhist monk son Ven Ajahn Siripanyo, who is at a meditation retreat in Penang Hill here.
Clad in T-shirt and jeans, the 74-year-old tycoon was spotted arriving at the foot of the popular tourist attraction in a BMW with several bodyguards at about 9am yesterday.
He was whisked off to an undisclosed location deep inside the forest in Penang Hill, where his son was having a retreat with 60 others.
It is learnt that Ven Siripanyo is his only son from a previous marriage.

Indonesia with 88% Muslims allows its Muslim to convert to any religion at his/her will.
There is misconception that Islam was declared the official religion after independence. The constitution amendment to make Islam an official religion only occurred in early 90s and Muslims are banned to convert to other religions only enforced in 1987 and thereafter.
The opposite is in Bolehland where Islam is an official religion, only Islamic teaching is taught in TV and radio stations and Muslim is prohibited to convert to any religion freely.
Islam has been used and manipulated by UMNO until many Muslims in Bolehland are brainwashed and turned into racists, fascists, terrorists and fanatics.
Anwar: Christian Threat is Umno Propaganda
Pakatan Rakyat has condemned the latest move to instil fears about threats of Christianity being spread in in the country, blaming it as tactic by Umno to “frighten” the Muslim Malay majority.
“I want to state that Umno is mighty in Malaysia. Umno is in charge of religion, Umno is in charge of the finances, so if the allegations (of attempts to spread Christianity) are true, that means Umno has failed to strengthen the faith of the Muslims,” Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim said.
Speaking at a press conference in the Parliament today, Anwar pointed out that there were adequate legal measures that could be imposed on any movement that threatened the faith of the Muslims in Malaysia.
He said this in response to a letter announcing a seminar to be held on Saturday, organised by the Johor Education Department .
The seminar is titled Pemantapan Aqidah, Bahaya Liberalisme dan Pluralism Serta Ancaman Kristianisasi Terhadap Umat Islam. Apa Peranan Guru? (Strengthening Faith, Dangers of Liberalism and Pluralism and the threat of Christianity towards Muslims. What is the Role of Teachers?)
The letter, addressed to primary and secondary schools heads in the Johor Baru district, requires two religious teachers from each of the 55 schools in the district to attend the seminar.
I hope the survey reveals the % based on race as NEP. Malaysian girls are more itchy than man, slightly more than 1/3 of married girls having out of wedlock sexual relationship is truly amazing and mind boggling. Malaysian men are slightly better with 1/3 “curi makan”.
Don’t marriage if you cannot loyal to your partner.
Religions seem fail to make 1/3 Malaysian adult the righteous creatures. The public money spend on mosques is wasted if the behavior and morality of Malaysians are among the worst in the world.

MALAYSIANS are ranked third in the world for being the most unfaithful partner, reported China Press.
According to a survey, 33% of Malaysian men admitted that they were unfaithful to their spouses. Thailand is first at 54% while South Korea came in second with 34%.
After Malaysia, the countries next on the list were Russia at 32% and Hong Kong at 29%.
Some 39% of Malaysian women also confessed to having betrayed their partners. The top two countries are Nigeria at 62% and Thailand at 59%.
Russian women are the fourth most unfaithful at 33% while Singaporeans are fifth at 19%.
The survey, conducted by condom manufacturer Durex, was based on interviews with 29,000 people in 36 countries.
It also revealed that Malaysian men have an average of three sex partners in their lives while those in Singapore and Hong Kong have 16, which is the highest in Asia.
This is a true story when I was in Form Two in a rural secondary school, located nearby a small town in the Muar suburban.
My English teacher, who is an English-educated Baba and also a free thinker like me. My classmate stayed next to the temple who witnessed the incident said my English teacher took down the Mazu statue from altar and played it on his hands.
He was punished on the spot, in tranced and became an official medium for Mazu deity afterwards.
My Baba teacher is totally handicapped in Mandarin, Hokkien and other Chinese dialects, but he spoke these langauges fluently when he acted as Mazu medium.
Actually, he was reluctant to be appointed as Mazu medium, but the super natural divine power drove him to the temple each afternoon after his teaching day.
I pity him because he is a psycho man, his brain already turned eccentric and damaged after being tortured and bullied when he was a pro-BN student in Malaya University in 70s.
He could not stand and live his new life as a medium for Mazu, eventually he asked to be transferred out to other school two or three years later.
The lesson learned is let respect the religions of other people even you are free thinker and believer from other faith.
