Another Boleh example, wrong usage of “crews” by Malaysiakini.com

They insisted “ground crews” is correct by quoting Wiki dictionary. I got second opinion from the Star MOE’s editor to rebut Malaysiakini. The Star Editor agreed with me that ground crews is wrong in English.

The correct one is ground crew members, not ground crews.

I believe Singaporeans and native English speakers are laughing at us, Malaysiakini now is a Boleh example for the blind leading the blind.

Crew (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/crew)

noun 1. a group of persons involved in a particular kind of work or working together: the crew of a train; a wrecking crew.

Once, during Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s time in the eighties, containers of cash ‘disappeared’ from Bank Negara. Like some have pointed out correctly, jet engines are no small item for small-time corporals and ground crews in RMAF to handle.
