Why not compensate those policemen slain in the Bukit Kepong incident if UMNO believes they are heroes? Let pay one million ringgit for each family.
The historical fact is these policemen served the British colonial after Japanese surrendered in the world war 2.
I am confident to say this because Japanese surrendered to British, not the Malay sultans.
Who pay the salary for these policemen then? What flag was flying high in the Bukit Kepong police station?
How on earth Mat Sabu is wrong in saying Mat Indera is a freedom fighter unless Malaysia history taught in the textbook is totally wrong and distorted by BN.
UMNO goons argued Mat Indera and communists were fighting for their own agenda unlike UMNO fighting for its people. (Do you believe this claim?}
My question is what agenda in the communist party? They might want to run a single party totalitarian nation like the China Communist Party in China.
What is the problem with this?
There was no Malaya constitution in 1950, and established a communist nation was not an illegal and unpatriotic movement. Malaya is still an independent nation under the communist ruling except a new political system is introduced.
Mao Tze Tung was recognized as a national hero in China, and late Tun Razak acclaimed the Chinese national hero openly.
No compensation for Bukit Kepong warriors
THERE is still bitterness in the heart of Sarjan Jamil Mohd Shah’s eldest daughter who’s disappointed it took so long to get her father’s sacrifice recognised.
Siti Salmah Jamil was 10 when her father was killed during the ambush by Communist insurgents on the Bukit Kepong police station in 1950.
Jamil was survived by four children. His fourth child, Md Nor Jamil, was only seven days old at the time.
Siti Salmah said her family made the most on their father’s pension for a limited time. Then her mother began receiving a pension a few years after his death although no compensation was made to the families by the federal or state governments.
“For much of the past 61 years, nobody cared about us. During those decades, we only received an invitation to watch the Bukit Kepong movie in 1981. That was all,” she told The Malay Mail.
She said initially the family survived on the monthly pension RM70. Despite that, she completed her Form Five studies.
“We then asked the government for financial support but we received no aid at all. After we finished our SPM, mother did not receive any more pension. It was only after Mat Sabu’s controversial remarks did people begin to take notice,” said Siti Salmah, adding she is not angry but saddened by the PAS deputy president’s unkind remarks.
“It was Mat Sabu’s comments that forced people to recall events at Bukit Kepong.”

First lie, his late father, Tun Razak extended diplomacy tie in 1974 with PRC when CPM was still engaged in war with Malaysia.
Second lie, China is still hostile and making baseless claim that Pulau Layang-layang is their island.
Third lie, today’s PRC has a local council free election to select village heads unlike Malaysia.
Don’t Change Historical Facts, Says Najib
BUKIT MERTAJAM, Sept 11 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today reminded the people not to change historical facts or to glorify the communist terrorists.
He said the communist terrorists in the past era were certainly cruel and the people were in their grips as their ideology did not favour the people, and were anti-religion and despotic.
“That was why we opposed the communists at that time because they were behaving cruelly in this country,” he said at the Malaysia Aidilfitri-Merdeka 2011 open house, here.
The Prime Minister said the communist did not give democracy to the people of Malaysia whereas the present government respected the democratic process.
“That’s why sometimes we lose, and sometimes we win. But we hope we win more than we lose,” he said.
Najib said the communists at that time were different from the present communism because in the past, the communists did not give the people the right to be wealthy.
“The present communism is different from the past. Previously, they wanted to control the country and spread the ideology which did not give the people their rights.
“We are friendly with communist countries now because they have discarded their old ideology,” he said.
The Prime Minister said the present government respected the people’s voice, practised moderation and was not extreme.
He said Malaysians should be grateful for having chosen strong leaders who had drawn up national policies which suited the present situation.
He said that two factors that led to the success of the nation were the far-sightedness of the past leaders in drawing up the country’s policies and their vision.
“In every era, we had leaders who were wise in making decisions and taking action,” he said.
Najib said that as an example, in efforts to gain national independence, the past leaders chose to opt for negotiations because they wanted the colonialists to leave the country.

I am not supporting violent revolution by the communists, but have to correct Abdul Ghani that those against British colonialism in Malaya are freedom fighters including Mat Indera and Chin Peng.
I have no objection for Chin Peng to be classified as rebel for his armed subversion after 31 August 1957.
This is a historical fact, its interpretation can be varied to suit different political needs.
There are Malay scholars and Johor historians claim Mat Indera is not a communist.
When the emergency was officially declared by British, a war declaration was made against communists and left-wing freedom fighters.
You as a police and army either kill the bandits or bandits kill you. If you don’t want to be killed in a cross fire, go join “tukang sapu jalan”.
Attack against Bukit Kepong Police station is a parcel of legal war, the communists allowed policemen to surrender first, they refused. Nothing wrong as per Geneva convention for a warring party attacks opponent after sufficient warning and opportunity to surrender is duly given.
Blame the British to incite civil war, not the communist and left-wing freedom fighters.
Mat Indera Not Independence Fighter But Terrorist, Says Abdul Ghani
NUSAJAYA, Sept 7 (Bernama) — Ahmad Indera or Mat Indera, who was involved in the struggles against the colonialists when the country was under the British rule, was not a freedom fighter but a cruel terrorist.
Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said that based on historical facts concerning the Bukit Kepong incident, Mat Indera purposely became a member of the Malaysian Communist Party (MCP) as Head of the cruel 10th Regiment and was a threat to public safety then.
“When the British enforced the Emergency Law on June 19, 1948 in Malaya, all left-wing political parties such as the Parti Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya (PKMM), Angkatan Wanita Sedar (AWAS), Angkatan Pemuda Insaf (API) and MCP had been banned.

Hisham who is from Johor should be proud with this recognition from Johor MB Abdul Ghani.
Should Abdul Ghani be sacked from UMNO for supporting communism and Mat Indera, Hisham?
Johor Gov’t Book Vindicates Mat Sabu
Aidila Razak & Abdul Rahim Sabri
Kuala Lumpur – A book published by the Johor government in 2004 names insurgent Mat Indera as a freedom fighter and lists him as a celebrated Johor hero.
Speaking to Malaysiakini today, PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu said this was revealed in the book titled Pengukir Nama Johor.

Why Anwar spoke like me?
If China can be forgiven so can Chin Peng, says Anwar
By Neville Spykerman

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today lashed out at those who are turning Chin Peng’s wish to return to Malaysia into a racial issue.
He said the former leader of the Communist Party of Malaysia (CPM) was just an old man who wished to end his day in the country.
Anwar said if Malaysia could forgive communist China who supported the insurgency in Malaya at the time, there was no reason not to forgive Chin Peng.
“We are at peace with China and their communist government. Why can’t we forgive Chin Peng?” he asked.
Anwar, who was speaking at PKR’s special national congress, said he was not condoning the past militant actions of the communist but expects his words to be twisted by the local media.
He predicted some of the local press would report that PKR supports the communist but they would be doing a disservice to their readers.
The opposition leader said he opposed the communist activities as a young man and nothing had changed.
