Chua Soi Lek is not a hero, BN government created a ploy to make MCA looks good for “pursuing” government to cancel the land acquisition in Chinatown.

Although PR is suck, but without a strong opposition, BN is not going to listen your grouses.

The owners of these heritage buildings are better make more efforts to preserve them for another hundred years.

KUALA LUMPUR: It was cheers all around as the face of Chinatown in Petaling Street will remain despite the construction of the MY Rapid Transit (MRT).

The 31 shophouses along Jalan Sultan would not be torn down, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

He added that the decision not to demolish the buildings was important to maintain the identity of Chinatown.
