Transforming Sungai Klang Into An Oasis Of Tranquility

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) — Mention the name of Sungai Klang, and the first image that comes to people’s minds is that of the river’s polluted water, and banks littered with rubbish.

Now, imagine Sungai Klang as a vibrant river with recreational facilities on its banks. This is what Kuala Lumpur’s town planners have set out to do.

Kuala Lumpur’s Datuk Bandar Tan Sri Ahmad Fuad Ismail told Bernama that the Sungai Klang has now been included in the ‘River of Life’ (RoL) project, a part of the Greater Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley (Greater KL/LK) rejuvenation project under National Key Economic Areas (NKEA).
