The electoral roll prepared by the Election Commission is no better than toilet papers.
If 69% of voters cannot be located meaning the data is very inaccurate and phantom voters are prevalent.
The present electoral roll should be scrapped and call for a new registration exercise to improve its accuracy to 99% from 31%.
I welcome Bersih 3.0 and will join demo again if Himpunan Hijau is not co-organizer.
Malaysia election monitors urge poll postponement
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian election monitors Friday urged the government to put off polls until it can clean up the electoral roll, problems with which have led to a public “crisis of confidence”.
Prime Minister Najib Razak is widely expected to seek a fresh mandate within months though polls are only due by April next year.
Calls for electoral reforms have been growing. Tens of thousands took to the streets in a rally last July organised by pressure group Bersih, which recently said they would stage a fresh protest unless their demands were met.
