The daily maintenance must be handled by Japanese or Korean experts and technicians.

I have no confidence on the maintenance culture of local people, I have seen it in my workplace and in the public sector. Malaysians are notorious for last minute rush and poor planning mindset. PUTRAJAYA: The government is confident that Malaysians will eventually buy into nuclear energy, said Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui today.

Chin said through proper process of disseminating information and by practising transparency, the rakyat will understand why the country may have to rely on nuclear technology in the future for its energy needs.

“If we (the government) are transparent, and if information on the benefits of nuclear energy is disseminated well, I believe the rakyat will understand the need for nuclear energy,” said Chin at a Press conference this morning.
