PAS Youth: I-Dance can go if no Muslim competing

GEORGE TOWN: The I-Dance street dancing competition which begins Saturday can go on, but no Muslim participants should be allowed in the competition.

State PAS Youth chief Mohamed Hafiz Mohamed Nordin the organiser must cancel the competition if it is open to Muslims.

“We will not be bothered if the competition is just merely catering to non-Muslims,” he said, after leading more than 500 PAS members and representatives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in a peaceful protest in front of Masjid Jamek Kampung Rawa in Sungai Pinang here on Friday.

He also urged the state Youth and Sports, Women, Family and Community Development Committee chairman Lydia Ong Kok Fooi to conduct a review on the competition.
